Well,

I think it's time to just stop using LJ. By Wednesday, I will be gone from here.
Sometimes you just have to stop doing things you don't get enjoyment from.

I agree with others that deleting your account isn't something you "have" to do. Just stop using it and go dormant.

I don't really use my Facebook account. I use LJ to keep in touch with Bear friends and find new ones. I find Facebook to be be too public.
