Mmmmm Otters!!!!!

This is my good Avenue Q Post. I saw the show in NYC about 2 years ago with the original cast. It was great. I had forgotten all the frekin funny lines between the songs. The touring cast did an amazing job. Kate Monster sounded just like the original. I am destined to see it again. Even if it has to be crappy obstructed view seating.

Saw soo many people. Many I knew and many hotties I didin't know. WOOF.

Too many LJ'r to remember. LOL It was also need to hear people ask why all the bears where there.

I got a nice surprise. The group sales manager found my seat and gave me a poster autographed by the cast. He said "We wanted you to have this since you were our top group leader for this show" or something like that. Very coool! Anyone know where to get some cheap poster frames. I have a few that I need to get done.

That's it for now except that I am hosting Karaoke this coming Wednesday night at the Mint. I have 5 pair of tickets to give away for the Sept 11th show of Mamma Mia. If you can make it, we start at 6pm, and draw for the tickets at 9pm.

Spiderman is coming out tonight! MovieBears is going to see it next Wednesday night. I bought out all 600 seats in the IMAX theatre for it. And I have all 600 spoken for with a 40 ticket wait list to boot.

This is the biggest event I have done, and the logistics are scary. I am sure I will get through it just fine, but it is still going to be a challange.

Tonight's Spelling Bee was a hoot. I got chosen as one of the spellers. I was wearing Camo Pants, a tank top that said Ruff Riders and my Mr. SF Bear 2004 title vest. When called to the mic for my first word, Miss Perretti said that I was in a production of Goldi Lox and the 3 Bears. And that I was Goldilox and fucked all 3 of the bears. I am told I turned beat red. My first word was Mexican. Easy word.

The other 3 guest spellers got their turns and were elmiminated. I was the last guest speller. When called up to the mic for my 2nd word, The MC said that I wear cammo pants because I have discovered that they hide me very well in the bushes at truck stops. My second word was satiated, which I totally blew because I drew a blank up there. I was hoping for a hard word like xerophthalmiology, or lysergic acid diethylamide which are 2 words used in the past to elminate guest spellers. I am sure had I not fucked up satiated, I would have been given one or both of them. Oh well. I was satiated with the experience.

After blowing satiated, Mitch Mahoney, the comfort counselor came up to me and started to sing his balad song and good bye to me. He paused and gave me a hug and I hugged right back and put my head on his shoulder looking out at the audience with content. Then he let go, looked at the audience, and hugged me again. I did the same thing, but this time I held on and when he tried to let go, I kept holding. He stated to laugh!. It was really fun.

A great way to start the week, that is for sure.

Time to go give my squeeze some affection, and get some sleep.

AMC Metreon has posted show times for Superman Returns, which is opening Wednesday, June 28th!!

The show times are:

10:30 | 2:00 | 5:30 | 9:00 | 12:30

Kind of disappointing times since many people like to go to the movies between the 7pm and 8pm hours.

Oh well!! We will be there in force.

That is the number of tickets I have for X-Men now. New Record for sure.

The number of seats left for the 7pm showing of "The Da Vinci Code" after I purchased discount ticket number 130!

I actually have 6 left! Hopefully they will be gone by the end of the day.

This actually beat our Metreon record of 113 who went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on November 18th. Then again, I had 325 on my mail list then and now I have 480.

Brokeback Mountain is still the record with 145 at one showing.

I do believe X-Men might just top that.

Tonight MovieBears gathered at the LGBT center to see Poseidon Adventure. Even a walk in who was there for something that was cancelled came in and enjoyed the show. She was the only female. No Shelly Winters look alikes.

It was great to see everyone, and meet a few new people.

The good... The wall was a great screen for the movie. The people were fantastic cutting up the film. Lots of great nasty comments and hooting and hollering.
The Ok.... The sound was okay. Will have to work on that and figure out the best sound system.
The room was not bad. Had a bit of light coming in, but was workable.
Not a bad presention using my home stereo/dvd system and a rented projector.

I HAD FUN! That is what matters, and i think everyone else did too.

Thanks to everyone who helped set up and tear down and bring all the stuff back to my apartment then have a gang bang on boyshapedbox's new King sized Bed. It was like an army of bears heading to my place.

So Moviebears is going to do A Chorus Line!! Tuesday, August 22nd.

Let me tell you, I took smiley_kiley's advice and went and saw this show, and loved it. It was so well done. The music was fun, the acting great. Not bad for adults playing 12 year olds.

I think kevin_v5 should go for sure.

So I am having a little party on Tuesday the 4th. Well, it is just a Moviebears night out to see Brokeback Mountain again at the Embarcadero. 89 people have RSVP'd already.

I was really nervous that the theater would stop playing the movie since the DVD is being released on the 4th. I called them today, and they told me they will be running the movie until the 6th. WHEW. But then he told me that they are showing it at 1pm, and 10pm. I said "No early evening show???" He asked me how many people I was bringing, I told him 83 as of right now. He said "Lemme call you back"

They added back an 8pm show just for us! YAY. The power of the bears!!!! Moviebears is also going to get some press in the Bay Times. Sister Dana caught wind of the event and wants to do a story on it pre and post!! So that is exciting news. I sent in the quotes from everyone who replied. I leave it to Sr. Dana to do her magic.

So I am going to have about a dozen shirts, AND a dozen DVD's to give away after the movie. And we are gonna have dinner at Fuzio before the movie at 6pm. Have about 30 RSVP'd for dinner so far. It should be a really fun time!! Probably will not break our 145 record from December 9th, but it is gonna be a great fun time.
