Best Birthday Party Ever
Jul. 9th, 2006 09:48 amIf I ever had any doubts that I have friends, they were squashed yesterday, and I will never again have those doubts.
Richard's 40th birthday and my housewarming party.... Oh wait, Richard kept saying that!! I was so nervous all week wondering where I was going to put everyone. I even slept horribly on Friday night and had a bad dream about the party! But it went off without a hitch. Plenty of alcohol was consumed as well as food. The party never got out of control, which of course I have never seen a gay party out of control. And no,
castrowoof taking photos of naughty bits is not out of control! I was really worried that everyone was going to show up at like 2pm and I would not have space to put people, but everyone came in waves, and there was never too many people here. It made for a great mix of people all day long. Richard and I made a bet on who would show up first. I said
rampagebear and
bearhound and he said, Yeah, that is probably right, but
kiltbear and Kevin were first, actually after
tecwizsfo who showed up early and helped with setup. Richard did say that Steve and Bert were the last ones out the door.
backawayslowly was also a long term attendee as well.
rampagebear drank and didn't throw anything, though I did call for his drink throwing services at least once!
I drank at the beginning of the party since I had committed to teach line dancing at the SpitFire softball fundraiser. So I had a nice buzz most of the early afternoon. When I left at 7:30, there were still at least 20 people here!! Amazing. Richard said the party ended around 9:30. Very sweet!! When I got home, about 70% of the clean up had already occurred!! NOW that is a great birthday gift right there! Thanks Richard and whoever else helped.
So here is the LJ attendance.
