She is not registered to vote and said she is not going to, and she is going on about the VP debate last night, and that if she were registered to vote, she would probably vote republican. I already thought she was a strung out person, and now after listening to her rant, I find she is more of a freak. I can't wait till I am not working here anymore. I also think since she is not going to vote, she should just shut up.

Yeah, too bad there isn't a way to say "Why are you bothering to watch the debates if you don't even care enough about the country to vote?"

One wonders how she could vote Republican when Bush is pushing that insidious amendment to the Constitution.

Well on top of that, she said the reason that Kerry was put in is so that he can lose and Hiliary would run in 2008.

Yep, she definitely has some bitter qualities about her. And not quite in touch with reality. Sorry you have to deal with her on a daily basis.

I've heard the same rumour.

I have heard the same rhetoric at work as the one espoused upon by your manager. However, many people have become disenfranchised with our political system. They feel that their vote doesn't matter and they see very few differences between the candidates. Voter apathy still runs rampant unfortunately, due to the fact that the popular vote does not elect the president, the electoral college does in a winner-take-all stakes. Personally, I think that Hillary was an outstanding president in the pre-Bush II era.

Yes, you are right.

Personally, I feel that whatever two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home (whether rented or owned) is their own business. No government and no religion should infringe on their choice. A constitutional amendment defining marriage as only valid between a man and a woman is very archaic. When two people love each other, regardless of their sex and/or sexual orientation, they should be allowed to be together and "... what God has joined together, let no man put asunder..." However, the real reason against this is purely economics; employers do not want to extend marriage benefits to same-sex couples. When discussed recently, a colleague at work made the following comment, " the government needs more taxpayers, hence they are reluctant to approve of what they see as childless unions or non-breeding partnerships."
