What a fun social night at Pyrogeoff's. He has a cute apartment, bright and warm and welcoming. Oh and Geoff is that way too.

Lets see, who attended? texasfurr, fuzzygruf, double_ohsteven, rampagebear, and Bert, sflonestar, Tall Paul, spaceybear, Lloyd, pyrogeoff of course, backawayslowly, Those were the ones I knew. I finally got to meet cthelarger, and another person who I don't know if he is on LJ or not named Jeff.

I took a bunch of photos with texasfurr's camera, so hopefully he will get them in his gallery really soon.

Liberation Day

YAY, today is my last day at intermedia.net. YAY. I don't get any time off before starting my new job, but that is okay. I need the money and I had all my vacation time taken already.

I got in 15 minutes late to work this morning. I was busy trying to get the sexaul thoughts of someone out of my head.

Since getting here, I have deleted all my email and taken 3 phone calls. Slow day it seems. I am having lunch with a friend who works at HP. And then I am going to come back evaluate the rest of the day and just tell my manager I am ready to leave. Maybe around 2pm.

There are so many things I want to tell my manager, like she needs to stop being so high strung. Yesterday, she asked me to call a customer, then my phone rang and I took the call. No sooner did I hang up with the caller and she messages me "Did you call that customer." I replied "Stop being so impatient, I will let you know when I am done talking to him" First time I actually let her know she needed to lay off.

I get my exit interview, so instead of telling my manager, I will tell our HR person my thoughts. This include the fact that they bring people over here from Russia to do the System Administration work. While there are plenty of very qualified SA's out of work here in the bay area. And they also do not consider any of us, their support techs for the job. As a matter of fact, I don't even believe they posted the job of the last SA who left.

This also includes that fact that for almost a year, I have been trying to get Admin access to our Exchange Servers. My manager decided that for that I would need to get an Exchange Certification. But our technicians in our Russian office do not need to meet these requirements. She says they are officially contractors, even though their company has the same owner, and they don't go by her rules. Talk about unfair.

So the good thing is, I no longer have to deal with it!!! YAY for ME!!!

The day has come, and I now feel relieved!!!

I have an ortho appointment at 4:10 in Daly City. Hopefully that will not take long. But I know the work I want done is going to take a little time. I plan to go to the gym again with texasfurr. We went yesterday and worked out our arms, and now my left arm is really sore.

After that I think dinner and head out to the Lone Star later. Hopefully I will run into a couple people I really would like to see. This weekend is kind busy for me. But that is okay. I like keeping busy.

I am one happy bear.

I was having a debate with someone online about me taking Caltrain or Bart to work at my new job. He treid to tell me Bart would be my better bet.
