Nothing much going on today. Went to ECR last night for square dancing. What a blast I have there. They are such a great group of folks, just like FCD. I play angel there since our class is done with the Mainstream calls and they are still working on it.

Work is fucking annoying. Our product is such a good concept, but it is sooo fucking slow. The interface that is. So here I am trying to support our clients and can't even log on and look at their accounts.
All of our System Admin's and Developers were imported from Russia. Fun group to work with. Culture barrier for sure. We do things way more customer oriented then they do. We go way out of our way to help the customer and they just skim the top. Fun fun. NOT.

I really need to get studying my Microsoft test. If I do not take and pass the test by March 18th, I am so out of a job. At least I have all of Feb. Going to take some study time during my lunches I guess. I hate to study.

Well, back to work for me.
Later all.

But it pays the bills. I am working a little late to catch up all the voice mails we got. Fun FUn. Going to see Butterfly Effect. I hear it is a good movie. Will let you know Yay or Nay later on.
New rommie moves in tomorrow. Well, his stuff is here. [livejournal.com profile] texasfurr moved into the office while he is finding a new apt. The one him and [livejournal.com profile] iahklu were going to get fell through. We love Jeff. We wish he didn't need to be so close to the action. THAT HO. Hehehe.

Well, home time for me.
Hugs ALL

Well hello all. Wanted to give you my rundown of the IBR Weekend. I think I am going to split it up into days so that it is easier to reply to if you wish.

Started Thursday. Spent much of the day getting ready to head to the hotel. Picked up my toga, and packed. Got to the hotel about 3pm. Met up with my friend Charles which was really nice, since I had not planned on seeing him until Sunday for sure. We went to dinner together after I had helped get the registration check in tables set up.

Registration went well on Thursday night. And with the number of people we checked in, I don't know why they would put this off till Friday ever again. We did get suggestions on how to improve the process even more, and will implement them for next year. All in all the volunteers said this years process was by far much easier then previous years. Heheh my plan worked perfectly. (Sinister Laugh).

After registration, Charles and I went to the Lone Star. Line out the door and a packed bar. Fun after finally getting in there. I was hanging out till a friend I was meeting got there. I met some nice people from out of town and just hung out and socialized. I even had a few alcohol beverages. I hardly ever do that. It was fun. Went back to the hotel and called it a night before midnight.
here comes Friday.

IBR Friday

Well, Friday started nice. It is funny.. I am in an open relationship, on occasion go somewhere and spend the night. Now it is always nice to wake up next to someone, but no matter how many times it happens, when I do not wake up next to Richard, I miss him very much. I did not get to see him till Friday night. All day long all I thought was how I wished he had been there with me. But alas, he did have to work. The open relationship works well for us. As it does with most people I know who are in them. Just communicate and things will be fine.

I did not do too much during the day. I kinda hung around the hotel. I headed home for a bit because I forgot a few things. Whew, at least I was not very long distance. Got back to the hotel and worked with getting registration set up again. Also trained a couple guys to work walk up. That went a little rough, but I have some ideas for next year to alleviate the congestion.

After John Stephens got there, I went off and chatted around. Contestant thing ya know.

We had our Contestant orientation at 9pm. WOW 3 Dave's Dave3 How exciting. What a handsome group of guys for this contest. Really stiff competition. We then headed to the Eagle for the Contestant introduction, and raffle. Damn it was BUSY. I cannot imagine how the judges could really get to see us in action with so many people there. That was supposed to be a big part of the scoring. It was a good time. Got to meet some really nice people. Ran into people I have not seen in a long time. I love conventions. Make and renew friendships.

After selling all of us headed back to the hotel. I guess we were just wiped out from all the schmoozing.

Saturday commeth.
Hugs
