7:30 - Ramada Hotel. Time to be back stage for the contest.

We all arrived on time. The back area was full. Coat rack in the middle, tables. Everyones things all around. Hmm would I see some nekkid contestants. Jonas from Rockhard was the assigned cam guy and Ian the sound guy.

First we needed to get into our Toga's It was after all a roman party. We waited and waited for the opening to happen and some politician to speak. He was late. So as any good drag show goes, we started at 8pm 15 minutes early.

We took our places on stage in the from of an X and were there all of 60 seconds. Fun, the one minute toga run.

We were then introduced one by one in our Casual ware. This is where our bio's were read and we just worked the runway. Was fun, I smiled a lot. I felt pretty inadequate after hearing most of the bio's however. I thought it was supposed to be short and sweet, not a life story. Then again, some of us didn't get bio and speech writers.

After the bio's were done, it was time for the 1st part of the speeches and cruise ware. The 1st 8 contestants went and did their speeches. It was so nice that a couple of them talked about me and my Bingo experience. Very touching and wonderful. While 8 of these guys were doing their speeches, the other 8 of us were getting in our underwear. All I can say is, umm, I wanted some of what was back there.

During intermission i was asked by the film crew who I thought would win. I said, I don't know it is a tough call. He insisted, and I said, Juan, Jay and Bill. He said what about Scott. I said "If Scott win's I am going to be soo disappointed. Anyone can win and I will be happy, unless it is him."

We then did the parade of underwear. I was 2nd since we went backwards by number. This is where our fantasy or ad was written. Damn, I am so not creative. I had them talk about some server room sex thing. Go figure the geek I am. I was also very self conscious because I never parade around in my underwear, well except for bearhug. My favorite bare min contestant was Bill from KY. WOOF now I want that cowboy to rope me in any time. And leave it to him to tongue wrestle me after he was on stage and not earlier in the weekend. Hello... timing people. Oh I really loved Dave's costume. Mr. Krispy Kreme. Mmm glazed Dave. *DROOL*

The last of us went for our speeches. Jay went first and said he was not going to talk about this and that and my paddled ass, but that that very moment was the most memorable moment of the weekend.
I followed saying, Well Jay may not talk about my ass, but I am going to. I talked about how awesome the other contestants were and how they all came back to find out how I was and were right there to lend a helping hand. I then showed off my bear with the red ass to represent my pain, and the heart on front to represent the love for my awesome new friends. I believe my bear got the best reaction of all of them.

We then came on stage for our final show. We got up there and the winners were announce.
Mr. Cub, Juan. YAY I said he would win
Mr. Grizzly Jay - Picked him too
Mr. Daddy - Bill - Whoo hoo ride em cowboy.
Hmm. International Mr. Bear - Scott Hunter.
I just looked at David next to me and faked clapping my hands. Rolled my eyes and thought "What are thus judges blind?, did they not see anything of Scott's attitude all weekend?" I want to ask them what it was that Scott did to deserve the title. Everyone should know so then everyone can have the chance in the future.

We gracefully left the stage area and all hugged each other back stage.

I left the ballroom smiling knowing that I did the best I could, and had a great time doing it. And I also made some awesome friends. That was most important to me after all.

I am greatful to have a loving husband, great loving caring friends, and fun things to do in this great city. And not winning is certinally not the end of the world.
So there you have it all. My IBR weekend. Fun Fun Fun with just a smidgen of disappointment. Can't wait for next year.

Woofs.

Good luck next year, I hope that you win!
