I have been having a losing battle with the snack machine since I started my new job. I go to the gym with [livejournal.com profile] texasfurr, work out a good nice workout, then go to work the next day, and the snack machine taunts me. Begging me to feed it for a fabulous prize.

I swore this week I was going to beat the machine, and not give in to it's begging and cries for attention.

As I was getting my apple juice from the fridge, it was loud as ever, and ohhhh soooo tempting to shut it up. I stood there and stared at it and all it had to offer for just a few pieces of silver. I felt my hand move towards my money pocket and started to focus on one particular item of interest.

I then just stopped, turned around, and walked away with my apple juice in hand.

I knew I could do it. I did it in 1999 when I worked at Dell in Austin, TX and lost 50 lbs in 8 months. I was looking and feeling fabulous.

My diet has been pretty good, but the damn snack machine has been my biggest downfall. But I think I can beat it everytime!

You epitomize beardom, or so to speak- WOOF to the tenth power. Due to the design of your body frame and the fact that you are inherently muscular you would probably never be an otter. Besides everyone loves you the way that you are presently; don't they? If you are concerned about your health, i.e. cholesterol, triglycerides and other factors, try consuming a dietary regimen of fish and/or seafood and vegetables. The research conducted on the subject over 25 years ago, indicated that certain fish (namely Salmon) was high in omega 3- fatty acids that help to dissolve ldl cholesterol and triglycerides. When I saw my physician for a physical, (my first in 15 years) he found out that my liver functioning was normal, my triglyceride count was 69 < 50% of normal and that my hdl cholesterol was above the normal, my ldl cholesterol count was 110, normal is less than 130. I hope that this helps you out.

Fish. EWWWW. I hate fish. The only kind of fish I like are processed fish sticks and canned tuna. I just cannot hack the taste of any other types. But I have a plan in mind. The same plan I used in 1999. Here is a photo album of how I looked at 220#'s which I would like to get back at. Still a Bear!!

Yes, great pictures. You look very fit and trim in many of those pictures, not to mention- extremely hot. But hey, you're still one helluva good looking guy. Regarding fish, I'm sorry to hear about that. Rather than dwelling on this, I would like to know what kind of foods you find palatable? I will do some research for you and help you find suitable substitutes which are also cholesterol and triglyceride level reducers.
