It seems like Chinese restaurants are closing everywhere and Thai food joints are taking their place. I work in Mountain View and there must be 10 Thai food places in a 3 block area of Castro. Thank goodness Mr. Chau's Fast Food is not far from me.

You just need to go farther west on El camino Real. There's Hunan home just past Rengsdorff among others or Mambo Duck on castro st.

Hurrr- can't think of any good Chinese places here in Santa Clara, either... Ah, there is Tao Tao Cafe, in downtown Sunnyvale, and that odd bistro place that advertises on KQED right at El Camino. For me, all chinese culinary sins are forgiven, as there is a faboo Mongolian BBQ place on El Camino near the Lawrence...

Is Tin's Tea House on the corner of 7th Street & Webster in Oakland still serving dim sum daily?
