Intermedia.net Imports Russian Administrators

Mountain View, CA - Intermedia.net, one of the leaders in Web and email hosting in the US has again shunned it's American employees by importing Russian citizens to their Mountain View office and giving them top System Adminstration Jobs. One employee who has declined to give his name says that the current support technicians have been overlooked for pormotion to the System Administration team on numerous occasions. "Since they Company Owner is Russian, they must only have faith in Russians to handle the job" He also says that "ALL system administrator positions are filled by Russian technicians". Intermedia refused to comment on its hiring and promotion polocies. Another technican, Dave Hayes says he is just biding his time at Intermedia while he waits his dream job in San Francisco to open up and provide him with a non-discrimination job where all people are elligible to be interviewed for better positions.

In a perfect world, people would not be discriminated against. My hats off to you for being such an honest and courageous individual, it must have taken a great deal of chutzpah to be able to deal with such situations on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we still live in a very homophobic society, trust me I know- I live in one, whose opinion is supported by archaic religious institutions. They are afraid of anyone or anything which disturbs their concept of "a perfect world." These institutions are afraid to relinquish their control and domination over humanity.

By the way,if you would ever consider relocating to Tucson, I would try to find you a good-paying job here, which are unfortunately very hard to come by- luckily I have one. Of course, they always need more Calibration/Repair technicians- in fact they are looking towards hiring 3 more techs to replace some of the others who are retiring. At least Tucson is a more gay-friendly city. Although there is still a great deal of homophobia here- I guess it's everywhere still. :-(

I really didn't see this as homophobic issue, more then the company is just picking and choosing based on their national origin. What can ya do?
