Well, I was sitting in my 2nd floor cubicle and I felt this weird swaying back and forth. It was a strange unsetteling feeling. The verticle blinds on the window swayed too and the office admin in the office stood up and said.. "Is that an earthquake" I said "I don't know, never felt one here"

Sooo while it was small and pretty insignificiant, it was still a pretty exciting deal for me.

Well, hey, we sure felt it here in Monterey (since Parkfield is in Monterey County). I wondered if you guys felt it too.

congrats on surviving your first quake! {:{)}

for my first one (a few years back) i was on the 12th floor of one of the oracle buildings down in redwood shores -- which is basically built on landfill -- and it was quite unsettling!

Well, I am sure if things started falling off the walls, and the ceiling started to fall in, I would not have been as excited. What do you want for a first timer?
hugs
