BOSF Resignation
Jul. 31st, 2006 12:03 pmI have decided to resign as a Director of BOSF. I think one of the reasons I left the board of Sundance was that I did not want to deal with the day to day business of the organization. I like to teach, I like activities, I just don't want to make decisions.
I have again realized that being on the board of BOSF. Being the decision maker is a tough job. I wanted to be on the board because I thought the Activities Coordinator would be a good fit for me. Which I still believe, but I also thought that position required me being on the board, which I have determined is not the case.
So I have sent a letter of resignation from the board, and asked that they consider me to be a Subordinate Officer as allowed by their by-laws. This would allow me to do what I do best, and plan fun stuff to do.
I would rather people know me as someone who plans fun activities for the community then someone who does a bad job running an organization.
