After reading [livejournal.com profile] sf_luke's post about Bear411 ( Here ) I did a test of my own with a friend, and indeed, he did not get the test message directing him to www.bearwww.com. That is totally lame and uncalled for on a site like that. I find it arrogant of the owner of bear411 to put that much control on his site. And he has the chat market from what I can tell for a site of his type. With this kind of thing happening, I wonder how long he will keep it? Sad that I have paid for a year which does not expire until March. He is not getting another cent from me until he starts running his site like a business.

He is featured in the new Bear's Life magazine I think that is what it is called? He said that it is now his only job. Managing bear411. Yet, tech/customer service sucks. He said he even has one person who works for him as well.

I am going to start having bearwww.com open from now on and try to get all my online buddies to move to that.

While I did not work as much or as hard as [livejournal.com profile] tonymorg, [livejournal.com profile] bvig01 and [livejournal.com profile] bigreddee, I did put some time in this weekend. I was in charge of the country dance floor for the Saturday night dance in the main tent. Pete wanted a bunch of people there, and I delivered.

I had a good crew of people working with me on Sat morning to go get the floor from storage. They had no idea what they were in for. We got the floor out of storage, on the truck, unloaded and in place in less then 2 hours. Same went for taking it up at 6:30am Sunday. YIKES. I did not go out Sat night.

The Sat night dance was pretty packed. People were having a great time. I saw people there that I usually do not see on Sunday night at Sundance. Was a nice mix of people, including women! So overall, the country dance was a success. Pete King said it was one of his favorite events this year.

Now for the past couple of years, I have been trying to get more bears out to Sundance. So I have been real curious as to why they don't go out. So now....

It was nice going to Hairrison on Sunday. After I got the dance floor put away, I went home and slept till noon. Went to the Castro and had lunch with Sam at Sliders. Saw [livejournal.com profile] texasfurr and his buddy from England I think. Then headed to Hairrison to hear Pepperspray perform. I have never really taken the time to see them. They are pretty good, and a bear favorite it seems.

Headed to the other side of 10th to check out the crowd. WOW. lots of people. Didn't buy anything, but said hi to many people. Forget exactly who I ran into on the street. Kevin, Steven, umm umm, damn short term memory.

Saw [livejournal.com profile] backawayslowly, he was happy to see me. He said that earlier he told someone "You know what would make this party even better?? Sunshine and Dave Hayes" And we both showed up about the same time. I got a kick out of that. I heart you Dave.

Went into camp Hairrison and sat down on a bench with Dave and Sam and just chatted with people who happened to come our way. More LJ people then I can remember. Ohh, [livejournal.com profile] beeftenderloin, I love the shirt. Gosh, I would never have known it was you without the shirt. I think everyone should have a shirt like that. And they should all say what yours said. hehehehehe.

After about 30 - 45 mins, Sam and I decided to head on home and spend the evening watching movies and tv. It was awesome.

Overall, Hairrison... GREAT TIME!!
