La Weekend
Dec. 20th, 2004 10:26 amOn the flight, these three hens in the seats in front of me were cackeling about wedding planning. One of them said "Oh we have to make sure the DJ does not play really gay music. No It's Raining Men, or YMCA" to which I said "What is wrong with really gay music???" She said, "oh nothing, I am not homophobic." I said "Oh okay" and then left it at that. Before we took off, one of the other girls turned around and said "I need to tell you that she is very upset over this. We didn't mean anything by it." I replied "It's okay, I'm over it" She said "You may have gotten past it, but my friend is really upset. She has over 100 gay friends" I said "Okay, it's not a big deal". What I should have said was "How many of them are you inviting, and if they all want to hear YMCA, are you going to tell them no, that song is too gay???" Hindsight!
Rest of the flight was pretty uneventful.
Got to the airport and went to the hotel, checked in and didn't leave. Stayed in the night.
Got up and my friend and I went to Hollywood. Walked the walk of fame. Found this Star

Had to send it right to bigsabu Got to Mann's theatre and we decided to see the new Jim Carey movie. What a great sound system in that theatre. It was awesome.
After the movie, I met up with my friend Glenn. Went to his place to hang out and then headed to dinner with him and his friends who live in the bay area. He had 4 people from the bay area visiting him. Funny!! We ended up staying in, so I did not go out in LA at all. It was okay! Glenn was a good host.
Got up the next morning and Glenn and I went house hunting. I love the tv show Charmed. When I found out the house used in the show is in LA, I decided I had to find it next time I was there. And I did.
It was very cool to see live. click thumb to see the other photos!
I headed to LAX to come back so I could make it to Jeff and Phil's great holiday party. Thanks guys, it was fun!!
So that was my fun filled weekend. I had a good time overall, however, next time, I will be going out and about. maybe country dancing.
