Hairrison Party last night
Oct. 14th, 2004 07:47 amI got to the Eagle around 7:00. It was nice to see all the familiar faces of people who went to and worked on Hairrison. It in my opinion was a huge success.
The party consisted of grilled sausages on a bun with cheese, potato salad, chips, and dessert. Drinks of course were not included.
I must admit, I was disappointed with the food option. BOSF does a fabulous job with taking care of their volunteers by doing dinner at places like Buca Di Beppo. When Pete told me what they had, I said "What about those of us who do not like sausage? Did you at least get some hot dogs" He found some in the freezer and had them grilled up. I guess he did not do any kind of budgeting for this, so he had to be cost conscious. That part I do understand.
Talking to Dollar Bill last night, he said he should have given Pete a budget. He said that will probably happen next year.
It was nice for Pete to recognize everyone who organized the event. I do believe that he was just joking when he asked if there was anyone else, and he had not mentioned Mark K. I found out Mark and his partner were pretty offended by this. I really think Pete was playing and did that on purpose. I guess only Pete really knows the answer to that.
I am looking forward to helping out with next years Fair. Doing more then I did this year. It was a great event. And last night was a nice time.
