So Monday night [livejournal.com profile] backawayslowly and I went and saw The Princess Diaries 2. Since I enjoyed the first movie, I thought I would hit the 2nd one. I am a movie fanatic. I mean, Richard and I have a collection of DVD's that total over 400 and counting. He is keeping them when I move and I get to go to Gale Video whenever I want.

I love family films, and chick flicks like TPD2.

My all time favorite movie is Airplane. How can you not Love Johnny making a hat, or a broach, or a pterodactyl?

Other movies I really love include:
In and out (7 takes for that Kiss!!!)
Dave (Nothing to do with the fact that it has my name in the title)
The American President
Brother Bear
Finding Nemo
Finding Forrester
Bring it On (I'm sexy, I'm cute, I'm popular to boot)
Blazing Saddles.

You get the idea.

BTW, my all time hated movie, and I know some of you are just going to hate me for it. "The Hours" I so wanted to walk out on that one. Like the other 2 gay guys did when we were seeing it.

So with that, maybe we didn't want you all to see what you already knew. That we are just a couple of big ol Girley Men!!

Poor Dave, you were like a little boy that was tired and cranky in that theater seat. Fidgeting all over the place, fighting not to fall asleep and all the while wondering if you could get away with telling me you wanted to leave. I LOVED that movie! :)

awwwww... well maybe we can find you a cheap K-Mart knock off that nobody will be able to tell the difference. Maybe they have something in the Jaclyn Smith Collection

I soooo love Airplane!

And Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles and Victor/Victoria and lots of other slapstick.

So few of us do anymore.

Okay, I really like 3 out of those 7 also.

I love Dave also, I especially love his hot bear-looking assistant played by Kevin Dunn. Finding Nemo was great, I thought that it was really cute and innovative. Michael Douglas was outstanding in The American President. I wish that Kevin Kline had the beard that he sported in Silverado for In And Out. Although, it's nice to have Wilford Brimley playing his father- too bad he didn't have a beard. I haven't seen Finding Forrester yet, although I do own a copy. I have only seen sections of Blazing Saddles.

Here are some of my favorites:

Six Degrees Of Separation
Troop Beverly Hills
Dave
The Birdcage
Legally Blonde

the list is lengthy, but you probably get the idea.

I can't mention here many of the other films that I like though. I could only e-mail you that list in private.
