stray memories out of nowhere. This happens to me all too often actually, sometimes hitting like a brick from behind. Usually I can figure out what the trigger was but sometimes it's like where the hell did that come from. I find that my two biggest triggers are songs and (get this) scents. I hear a song or smell a certain scent and I'm instantly transported back to somewhere in the past. It's very trippy thing how the mind works that way.
