Jan. 30th, 2008 10:02 amI have heard a couple of things which I find annoying about Paul Moffett, president of PO Plus.
First I heard he outright does not support the flying of a "Bear" flag on the flag poll at Market and Castro during IBR. BOSF has been trying for over 3 years to get approval of the Merchants Assocation. The Bear community is a pretty big deal in SF I think. He has been fighting it every step.
Now I read on SF Gate today regarding the filming of "Milk"
Paul Moffett, president of PO Plus, called an offer of $200 a day to remove his Castro Street store's signs offensive and unacceptable. He continued, "Look, I'm very supportive of the movie. But they can't tell me this isn't going to impact my business or that there'll be this big influx when the movie comes out. I can't even turn the lights on and pay my employees for $200 a day."
WHAT?? It's not like they asked him to close his store. Sad
