At about 12:30am, just when I was well into my ambien induced sleep, I was awoke by a rap on my door. I thought I was dreaming but it repeated and a voice yelled "is anyone there". I got up and went to the door and yelled, "who is it". He replied, it's your neighbor Richard, I am locked out of my apartment.

I looked through the peep hole, and saw that it was my neighbor, who I had never met, but only seen. I opened the door and he was standing there in a dress shirt, and his underwar and socks. He is probably in his late 60's, and he was shaking. He asked me if I could help him get into his place. I brought him in, sat him down on the sofa, and put a blanket on him to warm him up. I then called the landlord to come over and unlock his apt. The landlord didn't seemed to pleased about being woken up, but understood and said he would be on his way.

Richard, the neighbor said that he tried to get Steve in the next apt to help but he could not. I gave him some water to drink and made small talk with him. He has lived in his apt for 22 years. He just had a stroke a couple of months ago. He was shaking which kind of scared me some.

I got up and headed over to his apt just to see by chance if my key would work, and found his door was wide open. I came back and told him and he said "Yeah, I need someone with a key to open it for me" At this point, I knew he was kind of dilusionial. I got him up and lead him to his apt. I asked him if he wanted me to call anyone, and he said his friend Jim, and he gave me his number. The number he gave me was his own phone, so that didn't help. The landlord showed up and I told him what had happened. He said "okay, I will talk with him" and I went back to my place and back to Ambien Land. Oh how I love ambien land!
