Blake called me and told me he was in my apt and didn't find a huge infestation, yet he did say that he looked at the traps and saw the roaches there. I told him that I dropped a letter off at his uncles who is the owner on my lease which said that if the problem was not resolved by December 15th, I would be contacting the Rent Board. He replied "fine, go to them, I don't have to deal with your threats. If you don't like living with it, then move out".

So he gets until December 15th, and then I move forward with my complaint.

What a fucker.

*UPDATE*

Landlord called back to apologize for his attitude. I guess he had second thoughts about me contacting the rent board. And since pay my rent about 10 days in advance every month, I think he likes that too. He said he will have an exterminator there by the end of the week.

I use bill pay to pay my rent, and initiate the payment on pay day in the middle of the month for the next month.

When checking my bank balance this morning, I saw a deposit for $995.00 to my account that said, "Returned Bill Payment from T. Scholton". So I called to find out exactly what this meant.

They said that the check dated 8/15 to this payee (My landlord) was never cashed, and the check is now 90 days old, so it is "stale". That means they placed a stop order on the check, and if it is presented, it will be returned unpaid.

That would have been my September rent payment.

Being the honest guy I am, I told my landlord about this situation, and said if he returns the un-cashed check to me, I will give him a replacement.

Funny thing is, he cashed the October, and November rent checks.

Hmm, that $995.00 certinally could cover the cost of an exterminator for the building.

I am trying to get opening night information on RENT. I call the Metreon, and they are clueless. They seem to not know anything that is going to show in their theatre until 2 days before it opens there. They do have posters and other RENT related materials in their lobby's but they just don't have any answers. I got ahold of someone in LA who works for Loews. She said that Rent will be opening on one screen on Wednesday the 23rd. So I will keep watching for the tickets to go on sale.
