NY City and family
Aug. 16th, 2005 11:06 amWell, it is only 25 days until Sam and I head to NYC. This will be my 4th time I think in NYC, maybe 5th. Sam's first time.
We will be taking the red-eye from SFO via Chicago, getting in at 10am on Friday the 9th. Hopefully we can check into our hotel so we can take a well needed nap after the overnight trip and time zone change. BTW, I don't believe in 3 time zone change jet lag. But that is just me.
My brother is going to come down after all WITHOUT his wife! He is instead bringing my longtime friend Randy who lives in his neck of the woods! I don't think my brother and my friend Randy, whos other name is Kaileigh Richards, have been in a car that long together. Should be interesting for both of them.
They should get in the city around 5pm, in time for them to check in and for us to head to dinner before our show at 8pm.
Avenue Q. I have the Original Cast Recording, and have sung it at Gary-Okie, and Karaoke at the Mint. I can't wait. And
smiley_kiley, I am holding you responsible if the show is not as funny and wrong as you have lead me to believe. GRIN.
After that, I am leaving my brother to fend for himself, and Sam, Randy and I are going to hit up a bar or 2. Okay, this is where you NYC people chime in and tell me which bars to go to.
On Saturday we will get up and have breakfast in the city.
tonymorg has promised to fill me in on a great place for breakfast. The we will do some touristy things like the Statue, and whatever we can fit in. Our goal is to get on a train North by 6pm.
Off to visit my Mom in Rome NY and introduce Sam to the rest of the family. Well, I doubt I will see my sister and my older brother. Unless they plan to come to my Mom's to see me, I am not making a big effort to see them. I am still mad at my sisters biggotted ways, and my older brother, well. Lets just not talk about him.
We head back to NYC to catch our flight home on Monday morning. Flight leaves at 3pm. I still have to figure out transportation on that one. Should be fun.
Sooo that is what my 2nd weekend in September is looking like. I am sure it will be a great time, and I am hoping Sam has fun!!!
