I got a couple new toys for my big toy. The Treo 650. I got a metal case for it. It can go on my belt. It is kinda heavy, but damn it looks like it will protect the thing from any kind of jolt, drop, fall, whatever!! I also got a new headset to use.

Here is a photo of the treo in it's case.

1. What do you do for a living? Do you like what you do?

My official title is "PC Lead Support Specalist" I work for CMP Media, we publish magazines like Information Week, MSDN, Dr. Dobbs Journal, Bass Player, and many others. I am an internal support tech. My job is to keep the PC's running for the employees. As the lead, it is also my job to fix the problems the other support techs cannot figure out. My first day here one of the more Mac savey guys tried to stump me on a PC problem he could not figure out. I did it in 5 minutes. I really like the job. The environment is very easy to work at and the people here are really nice. The people on my team are a good group. Thanks to ?[livejournal.com profile] redbackfur for getting me the job!

2. Do you have a passion? What is it?

Country dancing. I hated country music growing up. Most of it anyways. There were some fun songs like Juice Newton's, Queen of Hearts and Charlie Pride's, Kiss an Angel Good Morning, but overall, I hated it. And to make it worse, my dad require we listen to it whenever we went anywhere. In 1993, I was out at the leather/bear bar in Orlando. The Full Moon Saloon. I had not gone in a while. What I saw astonished me. Men dancing together to country music. And line dancing. OMG, they did the Electric slide which I knew. I was hooked. I was at lessons three days later in my tennis shoes. I didn't care. I was able to finally buy boots and that was that. Since then I have danced all over the country. At least twice a year I go to a dance convention of the International Association of Gay/Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs. (IAGLCWDC) I have been their webmaster since 1996. I competed in their first line dance competition in FL in 1998 or 99 and won best overall. I was on 2 dance teams in Orlando, I taught on occasion in Florida, at some conventions and became a regular line dance instructor in Austin. After moving to Dallas I founded Texas Twisters. I put together and am one of the primary event planners for the 12th annual convention and 8th annual Champion Dance Competition for the IAGLCWDC. You would be surpised how much you can accomplish online and via phone and fax for an event like this.

When I moved to San Francisco, the Sundance Association invited me to work with them. One of their board members knew me from all of these conventions I go to. I have become a regular line dance instructor and was on their board for over a year. I took time off from that to focus on this awesome dance convention I am working on. I still love dancing and still love teaching. I have met some great people because of it too.

3. Tell us about a hero in your life and what that person means to you.

WOW. This is a good one. I would have to say The President of the the Sundance Association, Ingu Yun. I don't know anyone who works harder and is more dedicated to an organization like he is. He founded the organization 7 years ago, and just keeps going and going. He has been a mentor to me and helped me to be a better thinker, worker and be more compassionate toward others. He really has inspired me to be a better person. I don't know how he keeps going and going, but his shoes are going to be one hard pair to fill.

4. I know you’re big fan of musicals, as am I. What is your favorite?

I have to say that my favorite to date is Hairspray!. I saw it in NYC with Harvey F. and in SF with Bruce V as Edna. I saw it in SF 4 times, in Sacramento once. It is so fun and campy. The music is just fabulous. I would see it again if I could!!

5. How many cities have you lived in? What was/is your favorite?

I have lived in 17 cities. Well, a couple towns and villages in there but 17 total! WOW do I get around!!! San Francisco is my most ultimate favorite of all of them. It just kept getting better and better as the years went by, and SF is by far the best. It suites me well. I had a goal in 1995 to be living in SF by the year 2000. I got here in December of 2002! Not bad!!

Thanks for the questions. It was fun.
