Monogamy for 3?

Someone I was chatting with online today has a profile that says they are in a monogamous relationship. But they are looking for a permanant 3rd. I said, well the monogamy entry in your profile is not going to help you there. He said Monogamy can mean more then one on one.

I replied that by definition monogamy is:

The practice or condition of having a single sexual partner during a period of time.
The practice or condition of being married to only one person at a time.
The practice of marrying only once in a lifetime.

Not sure if he got mad. Have not heard back from him.
