It's been 12 years.....
Jan. 1st, 2005 05:12 pm...since I danced at a night club of any sort. When I lived in Florida in 1993, I discovered country music. I was instantly hooked. It is like, dance clubs just were not my thing and I found my true calling.
A few weeks ago, my friend Sam took me out to Mezzanine. I had a pretty good time. Bouncing to the music as a wall flower for the most part. Could not bring myself to get into the groove. Self esteem? Who can say. Had a good time.

texasfurr and bearringsd. I agreed to go since I wanted to try to get back into that style of music, promised the 2 guys who organized it I would go to one of their parties, and mostly because texasfurr was gonna be there, and he is my bestest friend in this big ol city. I love you Jeff. I ran into so many I know, bigreddee, and Fred, expurgate, my 2-stepping buddies Bill and Mark, Richard. I met a bunch of people I did not know but wanted to, nakednsf, smiley_kiley, Dave, and many others I am sure I have forgotten. It was fun. I had my shirt off, I was dancing. It was just a BLAST. I had forgotten how nice it was. What made it different then the last time I was out dancing like this in 1993 was that the people I hung out with were just a blast to be dancing with. They made me feel so welcome to be there and so comfortable. How could I have asked for any better of a New Years???
I was supposed to kissiahklu first at midnight, but he didn't feel well. I kissed my country dance buddy Mark. You would have got that kiss Phil!!! Well I kissed a lot of others too.
Prior to Friction, I was atspaceybear's party. It was wonderful. Beautiful house. AMAZING. I could so not live there. Too big for me! Thanks Spacey for the wonderful hospitality. Thanks to Phil for the invite!! And I know, what a sucky date I was huh? Giggle. It was nice to run into some great people there too. castrowoof, and Tim, rampagebear and bearhound, fuzzygruf and double_ohsteven, lowfatmuffin, and and oh, and that ever so handsome citycraig. I just love rubbing beards with that man!! I am sure I am forgetting someone.
To everyone of you who make me feel welcome in San Francisco, thank you for a wonderful year. It is nice to have such a wonderful family like I do!!
