A few months ago, I met this good looking guy at Sundance. Asked him to dance and he said sure. He is a really fun positive guy to hang around. We have gone out to breakfast and now lunch, and he is just a very cool guy.
When I inquired about the work he did, he said the he was working on Harry Potter 3. And they were almost complete with it. He also said that he created the ship the Pasture, in the last episode of Star Trek TNG. The medical ship that Bev Crusher was captain of.
Well today we were talking at lunch and he told me that he was the Visual Effects Supervisor on Galaxy Quest. Said it was his favorite of all the movies he has worked on. How impressive. So I thought I would do my own digging, and found a list of a LOT of the work he has done. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0313357/
WOW, I could not believe it. I was amazed. He didn't mention how involved he was in film making. The good part about that is he is such a down to earth guy, that he does not have to go on about the work he has done to be likable.
After looking over this list, I discovered he plays himself in the Making of segment on the E.T. DVD. I found him and I remember the first time I watched this after buying it how I said "WOOF" when he appeared on talking about the changes they had made with the effects.
So, that is the extent of my excitement for today so far. Or is it?????
