bigreddee. I have never written a synopses of a movie before, so I hope this comes out okay. I have never written one before, and I was awful at book reports! So here goes.
Do you get the sense that someone is behind you, watching you? Could it be a stalker, or could it be DEATH! FD3 was a gore packed film that kind of felt a little rushed to get everyone dead.
Wendy, is the high school yearbook photographer, and is snapping photos of her friends at the Senior outing at an amusement park. Her first notion that something is going to happen is when she looks at the photo she took of the friends on the High Dive, and notices that in the photo only the letter V in Dive was out to spell DIE! As they approached the roller coaster, she gets a real sense of fear from the image of the devil that greets you as you enter the queue for the ride.
She is finally talked on to getting on the ride by her boyfriend who ends up sitting up front. She is stuck in the back with his friend who she does not even like.
The ride takes off and things are going good until after the first loop, when one of the riders drops his video camera and the strap catches the track and the camera gets hung up on the track. This sends the first car off the tracks. The 2nd car continues on through spirals and loops until it stops on the top of one of the loops. The 4 people left are hanging on, and the 2 fall to their deaths. The other 2 rock the car to get it to move and it heads backwards out of the loop and slams into the track which had broken, sending the car flying. Some slow motion scenes would have made this a very interesting disaster.
At the point of her death, Wendy finds herself strapped into the coaster with the attendant ready to start the ride. She gets gets hysterical trying to get off the ride, and they release the back car and let the riders off. While escorting her and 5 others off of the ride, her boyfriend starts insisting he get off the ride, but the ride attendants start the ride instead.
At the end of the school year, Wendy, still distraught decided she wanted to just move away. She gets invited to go tanning by 2 of the survivors. 2 blond valley girl types. Their best line was "That was so nice of us!" The girls head to the salon and get trapped in the tanning beds. The heat in the room is turning itself up, the power regulator start pushing out more power then it should have, and the girls are trapped in the beds by a shelf that falls between the two beds. Wendy going through the photos from the day of the coaster accident realizes that the photos are providing clues to their impending deaths. She lands on the one of the 2 blonds and realizes that their deaths will happen at the Salon.
She tells her friend about her feelings and discovering the clues. First to go was the loser guy who is always trying to get the girls. He is impaled by a fan from a truck while waiting in a drive thru. Next to go is the big bad jock who claims he has control of his life. The photo reveals clues as to where and how the death will happen, which involved swords. But the end result is a workout machine malfunction that crushes his head.
The next to go are the is a girl who works at a home improvement store. She is shown in the photo with her co-worker friend and he is pointing a gun at her. He loads up a nail gun and starts to shoot at pigeons. While he is working on a fork lift putting things back, he sets off a series of events that should lead to his death. However, he is moved to the end of the list when Wendy intervenes and saves him from dying, putting the co-worker next who land in front of the nail gun which pounds about 20 nails in the back of her head, to come out of the front.
The next scene takes place at the 4th of July day celebration. Wendy has determined that her the guy she is going through this with is going to dye from some fireworks explosion. A horse is spooked by the fireworks and runs through the park dragging a stake close behind. Her sister is caught up by the stake and almost dies when she is dragged to some farm field rake. But is saved just in time which puts her to the end of the death list. Her sisters friend is however impaled by a flying stake. Not much gore to that. Wendy's friend almost dies when he is caught up in a pan fire in a food booth, but is saved by Wendy just in time. This puts Wendy next to die.
The guy from the home improvement store shows up and he realizes that the photo of Wendy dying is by his hand. Instead, a huge overhead sign falls on him and crushes him. This was a pretty gory scene as half his body is ejected from under the sign when it comes down, and it is twitching with his middle finger extended.
Thinking the whole thing is over with 3 survivors, since the last to die died out of order of deaths design, they find themselves on a subway train, and Wendy has a vision of the train crashing and killing all 3 of them. When the vision is over, it is too late as the train has left it's final station and there is no way out!
FD3 No survivors!!!
