What a day
Aug. 31st, 2005 03:00 pmI have been a Net Bank customer for over 5 years. They are based out of the Atlanta area. If I get a check from someone, I have to overnight it to them if I want the funds right away, and it takes 2 days for me to see it. At least they pay the bill for the shipping. Also, I can't use the account with PayPal. Some weird thing.
So I decided a few weeks ago to open an account with Bank of America. Since everyone I know uses them. All good. Fast opening, check card, online bill pay, yadda yadda.
I submitted my Direct Deposit change to Payroll over 2 weeks ago. For some reason in this great age of technology, it takes my company, or ADP 21 days before DD changes, which resulted in a "live check" today. I expected this, so I was really not worried. Here was the fun part.
I got to the Bank of America on New Montgomery to deposit the payroll check and the teller says, "The funds will not be available to you until September 14th" I said "Excuse me??" She didn't reply. I explained to her that I opened the account and moved my Direct Deposit to them, and that my moving my Direct Deposit resulted in a live check. I have rent to pay and other bills and cannot be without my paycheck for 14 days, which would be the day before my next paycheck. The very cute teller next to her puts out his hand and takes the paycheck from her, taps a couple things in his computer, initials the deposit slip and hands it back to her. He over-rode the 14 day hold on the check. Igave him a blow job thanked him for the great customer service and was on my way.
I went to the Sprint Store because my Treo headset jack was jacked up. If I remove the headset, I cannot take or make calls. The jack does not switch back to the internal mic and ear piece. So they have ordered me a new one. I think it is time to write to Treo and tell them of this little problem I have had several times already. Note to some of you who poo poo the treo. This could happen on ANY device with a headset jack. It has happened on my laptop.
Other then that, tonight is movie night. I have 43 discount passes. I am asking all people going to pay $10.00 for tonight and $6.00 of that will be forwarded on to the Red Cross. Hope to see you tonight. That is a donation of $260.00 if I sell all of the passes. Every little bit helps!
