The New Job

Well, the new job is off and running. Took Caltrain to SF from South SF. 16 minute ride. Walked to the office on 2nd and Harrison. Up hill to get there. Sucked. But I got there just in time to be greeted by Louis, the trainer here. Cute bearded bald straight guy. Dammit!!
Got in and got to my desk. A mess mess mess.

I am setteling in, getting to know people, reading email, installing software, took my first call from a remote user. It is all good.
I think I am going to fit well in with the other people here. Very friendly outgoing bunch.

Now if I am not mistaken, who works in my area that I can meet for lunch?

Well, more later.

Me! I'm on Fremont and Market...not terribly far away.

Maybe we could meet in the middle?

We're live just around the block from your work so one of these days we need to have lunch.

You must be an extremely organized person. I am happy to hear that you found a place that actually will make you feel at home. BTW- Are my eyes deceiving me, or is that a widescreen lcd monitor on your desk?

Re: Whoa, what a neat setup. YAY ;-)

Ohhh no, there is no organization there at all. And yes, your eyes are decieving you. That is a regular 19 in lcd.
hugs

It's great to hear from you. ;-) Thanks

You're too modest; you're far more organized than I could ever be. It's really hard to tell from a distance as far as the monitor is concerned. I really think that the 23" widescreen lcd monitors are fantastic. I have a 17" widescreen lcd monitor at home, unfortunately it does not tilt, nor rotate. However it is excellent for watching dvd movies. Out of curiosity- Is the laptop your own personal one, or is it also a company asset? HUGS to you also.

Re: It's great to hear from you. ;-) Thanks

Laptop is mine. Had it about 2.5 years now.

No, Honey, you got an 18"er. Only Production and training go the 19" Dells!

I don't work nearby, but I can meet you for lunch anyway. My time is my own for the cute & sweet.
