My Sunday

Was a good Sunday....

I got up, showered, got dressed and headed to the Castro to drop off [livejournal.com profile] enhydrasf a Treo 650 phone that uses a Sim card so he could have a working phone while in Australia. It was really great to see him and give him a send off kiss and hug!! I'm sure he will be in good hands there.

I then headed to [livejournal.com profile] poohbearjim's Celebration of Life. It was amazing. One of the best I have ever been to. I cried, I laughed, I laughed some more. I thought... I want mine to be just like this. It was nice to see all the faces of Jim's friends and family. I was rather impressed with Jim's Dad who spoke about Jim's childhood. He was such an amazing speaker. I stopped him and chatted for a few minutes after the service.
It was really awesome that while it rained during the entire service, that the rain stopped very shortly after, and I was able to enjoy the beautiful view.

When I left to go to Sundance Saloon, (Thanks [livejournal.com profile] redbackfur) I was in a pretty good mood. Even though when I got there, I knew I was going to be doing some very tedious work on the dance floor (repairing it), I was feeling good.

The rest of the night was wonderful. Something just filled me with energy, and I was enjoying my night there more then I ever remember! I was putting so much energy into my dancing. Putting more style into line dancing. Smiling the whole time. Someone said to me when I saw him and whisked him onto the dance floor "WOW You are in rare form tonight"!

I don't know, I think the thing that stood out most about Jim's service was that we should live life, and enjoy, and I think that must have really stuck in my head last night as I was out dancing. Certainly not on the forefront of my mind, but somewhere in there, the memory of Jim and the joy of so many helped make January 27th, 2008 a very very wonderful day!
