"I closed my eyes, drew back the curtain, to see for certain, what I thought I knew...."
Wow, I love Joseph! I saw "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" twice, it was lots of fun. I saw it once in Providence, RI with Sam Harris and then once in Boston with Donny Osmond. In fact when I saw it in Boston, during the last scene when Joseph's huge coat unfurls and he rises above the audience singing, Donny actually dripped sweat on me. I had front row mezzanine tickets. It was pretty funny! The Colonial theatre in Boston is pretty small and Donny was literally right above me.
I don't listen to show tunes a whole lot, but I learned a lot of the lyrics and saw a lot of Broadway shows through my good friend Chau. She actually played Kim in "Miss Saigon" on Broadway and recently played Mimi in "Rent" on Broadway. I know when Joseph was on Broadway with Michael Damien (is that him???) she was in the chorus for a while. My friend is going to be the lead in a brand new show to open next Spring. The name escapes me, but it's suppose to be a blockbuster. I'll keep you posted, and I'm sure if you go to NYC, I can get you free tickets to lots of shows.
Let me know how the show is, I'd love to hear about it. I have the Broadway CD with Michael Damien (the soap opera guy). I haven't listened to it in ages!
Joseph!
If I lived in SF, I'd definitely go see the show!
